Hispanic and civil-liberties groups have criticized practices of Mr. Arpaio, such as using tents to house detainees and dressing them in pink uniforms. Yep, because they want their air-conditioned, flatscreen TV-outfitted cells, along with the freedom to wear their gang colors.

"...the sheriff runs a clean operation..."That's what the Demcrats/Leftists hate most about him--mired in filth and corruption--and threatened by honesty and openness--as they are.
"...and underscore his contention that the probe is politically motivated."
Of course--everybody knows that.

the audit grades from the U.S. Marshals Service show the sheriff runs a clean operation and underscore his contention that the probe is politically motivated. And shows that the Obama administration either neglected or failed to replace the leadership in the U.S. Marshal's Service with politically reliable progressives!

America needs Sheriff Joe as POTUS, but he is too smart to take the job.
Go Sheriff Joe, AMERICA’S REAL SHERIFF.

God bless, Sheriff Joe.
(I secretly hope he runs for a higher profile national office.)

Just a little tidbit of useless information: For all you Ralston Purina and Tom Mix fans out there...did you know that before he became a super star Tom Mix was also a Deputy U.S. Marshall? Mix was a big fan of AZ. and lived in Prescott, died near Tucson.

Well, I was being a bit facetious.
While I am sure he could be great in a higher office,
he is America’s quintessential sheriff, and it is where he belongs.
There is the Peter Principle, and all Democrats, for sure, suffer it.
I would hate to see him fall into the trap.

And what is the online headline on the uber-biased Arizona Republic? "County jails audit receives high marks, but questions linger."

Our local Channel 5, KPHO, is keeping the heat on Sheriff Joe, making certain that we are kept informed as often as possible of these audits. The latest Channel 5 thing now is that the Board of County supervisors are apparently untouchable. (I think there is a jail sentence in the future of some of them.) For every story that Sheriff Joe’s administration may really have done something really bad, there are no stories about the supervisors. Channel 5 loves to claim they are totally honest and objective. But my question always is, how honest are people who went to journalism school?

Robert Driscoll, a lawyer for Mr. Arpaio, said: "These reports are just further evidence that the DOJ's Civil Rights Division has gone rogue, to the point of ignoring the findings of federal law enforcement and other components of the DOJ itself, in its politically motivated pursuit of the sheriff."That's what we suspected all along.
GO SHERIFF JOE!

The mention of Ralson Purina reminds me of The Wonderful World of Disney that used to come on Sunday nights I believe. Does anyone know the name of the narrator of the animal films that used to be shown on Disney??
