Mixed Feelings. Last year I was cheering that he stayed in the race against Scozzafava.....

Yes, and loser Lazio is staying in the race for Governor on the Conservative side. Both of these men are lackluster candidates who have repeatedly lost; their staying in the race only ensures the election of the liberal Democrat. Sick.

Depressing. Is the pension plan so great that all of these Republicans turn into A-holes after losing the primary election.

Here’s a revision to the pre-election pledge we should ask our candidates to sign:

1. Agree not to increase or create new taxes.
2. Agree to abide by the results of the Republican primary and, if the primary is lost, not run in the general election.

Apples and oranges. Last year he was running as a Conservative Party entry against Scozzofava who was a behind-door pick by RINO elites.

This time, he ran in a Republican primary against another Republican and lost. The people made their choice, and didn’t choose him.

This is very disappointing. He is proving himself just as bad as Murkowski.

lol. I find this sort of thing very funny. You simply cannot lower your expectations enough in politics.

I sent him a check during the Scozzafava debacle. I’d like my money back.

Hoffman needs to join the RINO Party, along with other Republican primary losers who are mounting 3rd party runs.

There is no difference at this point between Hoffman, Mirkcowsky, Crist, Castle, or Lazio.

Yes, but there are no jobs out there. He just has to get on a government payroll somewhere.

Sounds like Hoffman got a taste of celebrity last time around, and doesn’t want to let go.

He’s thinking the conservative media rallied around him because HE was such a great candidate, not because Scozzafava was such a bad one. He needs to get a clue.

The best I could do is follow the link at the bottom of his last newsletter/donation solicitation asking to be removed from his mailing list. When you do that it gives you a chance to tell them why you want to be removed.

It’s not a surprise. We conservatives get all upset when people like Crist and Murkowski don’t go away after the primary, but were all for Hoffman last year staying in the race after not even getting a single vote for the republican nomination last year (it wasn’t a primary, but he had no support).

So here he is again, and even though the argument last year was that it WASN’T a primary so the people weren’t represented in the process, this year the people WERE represented, the people chose their candidate, and Hoffman again is violating his pledge to not oppose his party’s candidate.

That makes him a sleazy a politician as Murkowski and Crist. You pledge to support the nominee, and then you break your pledge, you are a liar, and nothing you say can be trusted. And it seems you like the idea of power more than the idea of representing the people.

So I have no more use for this Hoffman guy. It was bad enough last year, but DeDe wasn’t chosen by a fair process, so it was understandable. Now it’s just wrong.

This guy is an embarrassment to all of us, his betrayal is of everybody that supported him and endorsed him against Scozzafava, now he is worse than Scozzafava.

NNY Tea Party leader tells others to support Doheny over Hoffman

The Plattsburgh-based Upstate New York Tea Party, which began the summer rallying behind Douglas L. Hoffman, is now calling for the Saranac Lake accountant to drop out of the race for the 23rd Congressional District.

“As some of you now know, UNYTEA’s leadership had been complaining to Doug and his campaign staff for several months prior to the election,” wrote Mark L. Barie, UNYTEA president. “His campaign was unorganized. It lacked focus and the out-of-state staff, knew little or nothing about the North Country.”
