Guest opinion: Don’t raise taxes, cut wasteful federal spending

Because of overstaffing, the U.S. Postal Service selects 1,125 employees daily to sit in empty “standby rooms.” They are not allowed to work, read, play cards, watch television, or do anything. This $50 million annual cost may be dumped in the taxpayers’ laps if the debt-ridden Postal Service receives a federal bailout.

Stimulus dollars are being spent on mascot costumes, electric golf carts, and a university study examining how much alcohol college freshmen women require before agreeing to casual sex.

Washington is spending $2.6 million training Chinese prostitutes to drink more responsibly on the job. This is the kind of wasteful spending that President Obama and Congress stubbornly refuse to cut. Instead, they plan to raise taxes on families and entrepreneurs by trillions of dollars.

President Obama had promised not to raise taxes “one single dime” on Americans earning less than $250,000. Then he raised taxes for ObamaCare, hiked tobacco taxes, and endorsed an $800 billion cap-and-trade energy tax. And he isn’t done yet.

We cant fall for the “cut government waste” arguement. We need to ax everything, kill departments, cull back workers with a scythe. There is no nibbling around the edges. We need to kill the beast, rip out its entrails and then start the real cutting.

Can I help with study on college women? When I was in college, I majored in alcohol and sex. Although I did not get paid by the federal government. Guess it was an extra curicular activity.

But protected by their unions, USPS managers are more highly paid and greatly overstaffed at many of the nation's post offices. When will THAT problem be addressed?

This is peanuts compared to what the Department of Energy is doing. They are doling out billions to companies, one of which is called GreenTech Auto, and the CEO is none other than Terry McAuliffe, the old head of the Dims party. The pigs are feeding at the trough.

OK, that's something we should all know! Keep those bar tabs to a minimum...

Washington is spending $2.6 million training Chinese prostitutes to drink more responsibly on the job.

Now this is a waste - why should we want them to drink more responsibly???

I have a mail man who is always asleep at the local park where I take my kid to play tennis. From 2 to 4 PM you can count on him to be there, mouth open and snoring. Guess his route is too short and needs those extra 10 hours a week. Bet he claim OT when asked to work over 40.

My favorite is the $800,000 program to train African Males how to wash their Genitals. That one put me over the edge on Income Taxes.
