This is why Newt Gingrich will never ever ever gain my confidence again— They PROMISED to rid this country of the Dept of Ed. and didn’t, in fact Bush crossed the aisle to meet Ted Kennedy to make it bigger and more wasteful than ever. I don’t know what’s going on in the rest of the country, but in our neck of the woods, none of the chilluns are ready for college, according the local paper TODAY, and so they really don’t need any “environmentalism”. They can’t even spell it!!!

Our local public schools are really very good. In spite of the NEA, U.S. Dept. of Education and the Environmental Wako’s.

But this is still Texas.

We have allowed some stupid stuff to happen, but not by public choice. I always carried a pocket knife to school as a kid. Got my first about age 7. My first rifle at about 8-9. My brother and I hunted, fished and terrorized the wildlife along the creeks for years. Life was fun then as a kid. Now it is a bit less free. Sad.
