Thursday September 23, 2010Planned Parenthood Scared by Tea Party Success
By Kathleen Gilbert WASHINGTON, D.C., September 23, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In addition to discontent with out-of-control spending and government expansion, the American Tea Party movement is motivated by a strong devotion to the right to life of the unborn - something that appears to have caught the pro-abortion establishment, including Planned Parenthood, off-guard. In a Facebook post Monday, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America expressed frustration at the burgeoning popularity of thoroughly pro-life candidates who have shot to stardom thanks to Tea Party momentum. "It's easy to laugh at some of the crazy statements made by the newest Republican U.S. Senate candidate, Christine O'Donnell and others running on extreme anti-abortion platforms," wrote the group. "But did you know that the day after O'Donnell's primary victory in Delaware, she raised $1,000,000 online?" The grassroots Tea Party movement, while largely dismissed by mainstream media and Democrat leaders early on - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi famously wrote off the movement as "astroturf" has grabbed the attention of both parties after Tea Party senate candidates snatched the GOP nomination in seven states earlier this month. The Republicans' "Pledge to America," a document released Thursday outlining a congressional agenda for the party, clearly aimed to please Tea Partiers. Party leaders, distancing themselves from "politicians in Washington," promised to shrink government, reform Congress, and in general facilitate "listening to the American people and fielding their concerns and ideas for turning things around." In its statement, PPFA lamented that the Tea Party has ushered in "a groundswell of support across the country for these anti-choice candidates." "They're everywhere, raising money and support," it said, and urged supporters to help the abortion giant "fight them, stop them, and defeat them." On Wednesday, the Washington Examiner noted that the Tea Party's impact in the upcoming midterm elections will mean trouble for pro-choice incumbents, particularly those among the GOP. Examiner columnist Timothy P. Carney noted that the four top casualties of Tea Party furor - Lisa Murkowski, Mike Castle, Charlie Crist and Arlen Specter - were all pro-choice members or former members of the Republican Party. In contrast, all of the successful Tea Party candidates for Senate are strongly pro-life. |

It’s a yes or no question. Was Auschwitz a terrorist act?
Have you read the definition of Terrorism?
Yes or no.
Comparing unborn children to livestock? Yes, you disgust me and it's not a matter of my understanding of English, it's my understanding of humanity.
I will repeat it. You disgust me.
You are such a liar! Wow. Open, bald faced liar. And those are probably your best qualities. So caught up in your demagoguery that you have totally lost tough with reality.
Comparison? Really? A simile? A metaphor? A catastasis? What kind of comparison?
Oh! Maybe when you go back and read you'll see you made a mistake but I won't expect you to have the integrity to admit it.
Terror and terrorism are not the same thing, dood.
Sorry, doodette. Terror and terrorism are not the same thing.
Where did I say it was? Hmmm?
They’re so cute with their little heads spinning around and around, pea soup spewing from their mouths......
Sorry, dude....that implies that you are contradicting my position which is opposite the posted idea that abortion is terrorism.
...this is terror...I inferred that the link was to some sort of abortion procedure. I don’t normally click links from strangers, I’m sure you understand.
Considering that the dolts on this thread do not know the difference between terrible acts and terrorism, I unapologetically lumped you into that group.
If you equate abortion with terrorism then you are ignorant of what terrorism is and I won’t apologize for your ignorance.
Sorry, doodette.
Wow is it so hard to answer a yes or no question?
Is Auschwitz terrorism?
I didn’t know that but I know now.
What do you think? Yes or no? Is that so hard for you to do?
Forget for a moment that your question is totally irrelevant and you are INSISTING that I answer your irrelevant question....
No. What I understand is that you are a liberaltarian. And you play word games. And that few on this thread have any respect for you. I'm sure your ego won't let that bother you.
Have a nice night.
and socialist security would be in a lot better shape than it is now had all those kids not been murdered before they were born...
Words have meanings, even if you don’t like it.
Your behavior is slightly more civilized than DU or Salon but the same in principle.
Muddle the meanings of words and massacre the messenger.
Make truth optional.
And I have yet to see you add anything meaningful to a thread. Just insults. You come on a thread, stomp everyone and pretend that you've taken the high road. You have not.
You may now have the last word as your kind always does.
Thank you for the last word.
My kind, as you put it, often encourage others, like you, to forsake ignorance and seek knowledge.
I even posted a definition of terrorism for those of you who didn’t care enough about the truth to look it up yourself. I posted it so that you and your kind could actually use words as they are defined and not as you simply “feel” they should be defined.
Doodette, if you cared about anyone being precise and accurate then you would be working with me and not against me or mocking me.
What did you bring to this thread? Hmmmm....??
That was a rhetorical question. Your kind do not have the meekness or humility to accept correction, do not have the courage to change positions in the light of better knowledge in order to align yourself with a more truthful position. Yeah, your kind is common and prevalent in the MSM.
