“The Democratic staff of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce estimated the breakdown of costs for one 200-employee Wal-Mart store:”
Oh, okay. The above quote is from your first link. I didn’t realize you got your information from such an unimpeachable source as “The Democratic Staff....”. I apologize, especially for my comment about your post being a democratic talking point.
Do the math. He said $36,000,000 in sales every hour. That's $600,000 in sales every minute. He then said that works out to $20,928 in profit every minute, or 3.5% profit. While higher than your estimate of 2%, he didn't just divide sales per hour by 60 and print that.

“You know that the refrigerated apple juice most likely comes from China.”
Exact vendor name is Simply Orange Juice Company out of Apopka, Florida.
The container labeling says apple juice came from the countries identified on the neck of the bottle, in microdot print along the neck is US/Canada along with some code and ‘use by date’
If I remember correctly, the produce sold at this Walmart uses locally grown fruits and vegetables when available keeping shipping costs down and providing freshness and why wouldn’t they when not bothered by Union rules and regulations?
