Moderate Muslims means nothing more than a little less evil than the others.
Once we as a culture stop believing in the moderate Muslim we must accept the fact that we are in a global war and that we must fight.
Every war has attempted to conquer all that is within reach of period technology. We now have the tools for global domination, no more waiting three weeks for the centurians to show up from the nearest Roman city. Information is instant, response is swift. No King George waiting for a sailboat to learn how his latest pronouncemnet was recieved.
Islam has decided that the time is now, they think they have the tools to spread sharia everywhere.
it’s easier to think that there are moderate muslims, because if we don’t believe that we must fight. The non-islam world is not ready for that.

We can now also say: "An Islamic terrorist/radical is a "Moderate Muslim" in a hurry."
