From the perspective of the Democrats; I would agree. They control all three branches of the government, thanks to 'geniuses' like Rove and his ilk.

Yeah, I guess I should have at least said “was” and not “is. My point being, is that it’s not his first rodeo, he knew exactly what his comments would accomplish, and he knows that even if he denounces them now, he’s already accomplished that goal.
He did nothing for the Conservatives for 8 years. Not only was the foreign policy neocon, so was the domestic. No Child Left Behind? We wanted that? That must’ve been neocons.
And now he, and his neocon buddies are trashing Christine, a candidate that stands for Traditional Christian Values, which a majority of Americans embrace, including Democrat Voting blocs like elderly Catholics who just love JFK.
The neocons just lose us elections. The people did not like the war in Iraq, and a lot of people, Conservatives, not neocons, but Conseratives, were losing interest. Didn’t I see a “Mission Accomplished” banner? It was Done. Pack up. Go home. Hooray, big victory. And I guess the neocons made the decision at that point. Welcome President Obama.
I think a great test for Presidential candidates is: are any of these people part of your campaign team? If there are any neocons there, it’s a no go. You know that they’re just claw and claw and claw to get control and do things that conservatives hate. None. I’d rather have a handful of random Patriotic Americans.
