Don’t confuse the Frederick area with the rest of Maryland.
There is a reason some still refer to Frederick as “Fredneck.”
It is the land of great, conservative folks. Including all of Frederick Co. into Western Maryland.
I lived in Frederick back in '82~'87.
As I recall, the KKK was active just up the road in Thurmont.
Some bigwig butthead called himself the "Grand Dragoon" or something like that..
I always thought it was pretty bizarre that that crap went on so close to Camp David...
