Barack Obama told the Hispanic Caucus in his speech that Mexicans were here in America long before the United States was an idea.

*keep*
Is he an idiot, or what?
The TEXT of the speech says this:
“So let me close by saying this. Long before America was even an idea, this land of plenty was home to many peoples. To British and French, to Dutch and Spanish, to Mexican — (applause) — to countless Indian tribes. We all shared the same land. We didnt always get along. But over the centuries, what eventually bound us together — what made us all Americans — was not a matter of blood, it wasnt a matter of birth. It was faith and fidelity to the shared values that we all hold so dear. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, endowed with certain inalienable rights: life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
I note he managed to not say “endowed by their Creator...”
Perhaps he said it differently at the podium.
He could screw up a ball bearing in a bucket of grease.
USA 1783
He's a moron.
I agree with each of your comments. But they are far too restrained. The usurper should be impeached.
In 1813, their declaration of independence was issued, under the name of America Septentrional or "Northern America" - in the sense of being the northern portion of Spain's former American possessions.
After years of war, Spain and America Septentrional signed a peace treaty in which the country was designated as the "Mexican Empire."
After two years of imperial rule, it became "The United Mexican States".
In 1836 the name was changed to the Republic of Mexico, and it has since been changed back to "The United Mexican States."
Well, and even if that were true, they should be the country that everyone should be flocking to, since they got such a head start. Why is that not the case?
So were the Indians. His point is?
Mexico was like 1820 The USA was 1776. They copies our Constitution for their own—not a bad idea. But, their were people in what is today Mexico—BUT it was called New Spain!
DUMBER: "I saw an old FDR TV show and he was saying the very same thing."
Well as usual, he is either ignorant or hoping the American news reporters and a majority of the American public is ignorant.
While the SPANISH made colonies in North and South America prior to 1776 and while SPANISH military, SPANISH colonial administrators, and SPANISH Catholic missionaries were operating in parts of North America by 1776,
(1) the REAL Mexicans, the natives of Mexico WERE NOT a dominant part of those efforts (they were the peasants controlled by the Spanish colonialists who were no different than the other Europeans in North and South America) and
(2) the U.S. was a nation BEFORE “Mexico” was an independent nation and not a colony of Spain.
The ignorance of modern Americans - created by the American schools - allows “the Hispanic” activists to present the myth that modern day “Mexicans”, a society driven predominately from the descendants of its European Spanish colonial immigrants and, with SOME of those immigrants the natives they married, presents them collectively, with the same status as people like the Aztecs (nearly decimated) or many of the North American native tribes as “native” here, compared to the society of the United States.
Its a myth; their “nation” and their society is NO LESS a product of European colonialism than the rest of North America.
It’s a convenient myth, pushed by Hispanic activists and various Left wing and “open borders” types, in ignorance by many of them and as never-to-admit lies by those that know better.
In 1870, the U.S. Census reports that the Arizona Territory has a population of 9,658.
The Salt River Valley [Phoenix] has a population of 240, which included 115 Hispanics.
I’m sure if you read his copy of the “History of the 57 US States”, he’s right. I’m sure it’s right in there.
This guy supposedly is educated? I don’t believe it. He’s a vapor.
Memo to the AnnointedIdiot: And? So? =.=

Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Wee Wee's Big Adventure, I see...
For sure some Mexicans had wandered up long before any Kenyans got here, anyone tell him that?
