Sounds more like a traditional gang initiation for the punks who did the beating.

-The only good thing here is that the injuries turned out to be minor. They were checked out in a hospital but released. It could have been a lot worse in that respect - remember the high school student in Chicago who died last year after being hit in the head with a board during a big scuffle?
-It looks like only one kid was arrested, though. I’ll bet you dollars to donuts the victims in this case will face harassment and threats when it comes to identifying any of the other little punks.
-The principal needs to work on his pep talks - “’Brag about how Bok is the No. 1 [vocational] school,’ “ Melton said. “I said, ‘Don’t do anything stupid.’ “
