I am ever the optimist, but wow! I have been racing to keep my optimistic outlook updated as events keep turning our way.

It will cost the Dems a small fortune to contest this, when a few short weeks ago it may have seemed that it was one of a few races that they could count on winning without having to blow the budget.

Yippeeee!

COCs seem to always get it wrong.

Who is the R and who is the D? Unless we live there, how could we know?

BHO’s agenda is absolutely killing the Democrat brand out here in fly over country.

They have nowhere to run and nowhere to hide.

Raese is the Republican, Manchin is the sitting Dem governor.

Rather than going negative, one possible campaign angle for Raese:

"Gov. Manchin has done a fine job as the chief executive of our state. By keeping him in Charleston and choosing me as your Senator to represent you in Washington, he and I will stand tall for the people of West Virginia."

1) WV went Republican in ‘00, ‘04 and ‘08. However, no Republican presently holds a state-wide office in WV.

2) A lot of folks(myself included) would be happy to see Manchin stay on as Governor. He really has not done a bad job.

WHOA is right! OTOH, I would like to see a Rasumssan poll on this race. The PPP is not all that reliable.

I understand that it was the state CofC who endorsed Manchin.

You’re a troll. All you post about is polls and how the Repubs are all going to lose.

Screw you.

This report says the GOP candidate is ahead, not behind!

Why are polls being posted showing it the other way around?

“Wow! Manchin had been up by 22 points back in July.”

Will O’Donnell be the next one to surge?

“Trust me, money will be spent on this very winnable race regardless of this poll.”

Manchin also is running into more problems with corruption:

Actually Ras re-polled in the last several days - +7 Machin - but with fewer polled (and he’s starting to include leaners (since Labor Day.)

The PPP poll had almost twice as many in their sample. At the least, it’s intriguing.
