Give it a rest.

Your idiotic and loopy anti-Mormon obsession defines you. And it's an ugly, wearisome definition.

If you could only see yourself as normal people see you, you'd be appalled.

Weird post. You obviously don’t watch Beck. Or maybe it was supposed to be sarcasm?

Huh? Please explain. I don’t watch him that often, but I’ve seen him rail against so-called social justice.

But he actually said “Dont talk of Jesus as the Son of God”??

That can’t be.

Beck is Beck, and admittedly ADD. I believe him to be isolated by Mormonism from his apparent interest in other religions. He hasn’t yet learned what Catholics and other Protestant denominations believe on some of these questions,
and is therefore forced to inadequately generalize some of his answers and opinions. A year from now, he may know more, because he is clearly gifted and retains what he learns, but Mormans clearly are quite fuzzy about Christ, or Christianity, in their own practice.

Actually he said, “We’re going to talk a liittle bit about this guy. That’s global revolution”

He was referring to JESUS...he went on...

“And the thing I find interesting. Dont talk about him tonight as a.. as the son of God. Instead let’s talk about him as a man. The theory is that some people might have missed him IF HE IS INDEED THE MESSIAH, missed him because he wasnt a revolutionary, or they didnt think so at the time. If you read the words of Josephus who was a historian back in the day. He wrote Jewish antiquites. And he talks about Jesus are just being just another guy they nailed to a tree, as hes just another revolutionary. And they talk about Josephus talks about all these revolutionaries all these so called “messiahs” that up in the hills. Well we dont really know any of the other names of the revollutionaries that lived at his time. What was it that he did that changed the world? Global revolutionary.”

“This weekend is a God event, not a Christian event” (Glenn Beck, at the end of his TV show, August 25, 2010)
____________________________________________________

In his September 2, 2010 TV program Beck said, “We need a Jesus or a Buddha.”
___________________________________________

The spirit is going to teach tomorrow and youre going to feel things you never felt before 8?28 (Glenn Beck, on his radio show August 29, 2010)

Which spirit Glenn ???
___________________________________________________

Pluralist religious emphasis of the event..

“Something beyond imagination is happening. America today begins to turn back to God. I think this is an opportunity to gather God’s people together and wake people up and I just have this feeling that this is the beginning of something gigantic in this country. That it is a spiritual awaking”

Glenn Beck went on to say that he believes that “the third great awaking has started in the America”

(Glenn Beck August 28, 2010)

Jonathon Edwards the 1st great spiritual awaking
George Whitfield, John Wesley the second great spiritual awaking..

Beck is not the leader of the 3rd

Hitler used the Christian church also..

In Germany pastors thought God had sent Hitler.

The church in Germany rejected Biblical truth and went after Hitler..

On August 30, 1933 Pastor Julius Lutherser said,

“Christ has come to us through Hitler. Though his honesty, his faith, and his idealism. The redeemer found us. We know today the savior has come. We have only one task, be German, not Christian”

Hitler used the Christian churches and pastors..

A pastor named Oswald J Smith from Toronto, Canada went to Germany in the 1936 and he spoke to Evangalical Christians and wrote what they told him,

“Germany has awaken. What you ask is the real attitude of the Germany people to Hitler? There is but one answer. They love him. Yes. From the highest to the lowest, children and parents, old and young alike. They love their new leader. their confidence in him cannot be shaken. They love him to a man.”

Smith even believed that a Evangalical awaking was coming to Germany because of Hitler...

No wonder few in Christians in Germany raised their hands to protest the ill treatment of the Jews...

They were fooled into think God was behind the events of that time...

This deception is not new...

WND is not in a positon to offer accountability to Glenn Beck when they can’t even hold themselves accountable. Their articles on Obama’s eligibility are yellow journalism at its worst. They have zero credibility. It’s laughable that they would attempt to criticize Beck on consistency. What a joke. WND is pathetic.

I’m not going to condemn Beck over this. I really don’t care about his religion. He’s generally on the same side of most issues as I am, but I got bored to tears when he started talking like a preacher man.

Wrong. They’ve perpetuated the debunked rumors that:

- Americans were not allowed to travel to Pakistan in 1981
- Obama’s first executive order was to seal all of his records
- another EO protected executive branch members from disclosing records to journalists

And jumping on the Journolist train recently, they incorrectly reported that a number of people had been confirmed as J-listers, when in fact the author of the blog they cited said no such thing.

WND couldn’t report correctly on what the inside of a brown paper bag looked like.

“He grew up Catholic.”

True, but not very Catholic, by his own admission. His version of “grew up Catholic” means what, I wonder? He seems to know next to nothing about Catholicism and it shows, or else he doesn’t want to discuss the conflict between Catholicism and Mormonism. Either way he now misses by a mile that Jesus is more than a peacenik.

My take on Beck, he’s a libertarian preacher.

If indeed they perpetrated those falsehoods, which I’ll take your word that they did at one time or another, compare that to the CONSTANT, willful falsehoods that the MSM has blown out their butts.

1) Hawaii’s governor has personally seen his BC and declared it legit.

2) That Miss Fukino, otherwise known as “Hawaiian officials” have verified his original BC says he was HI born.

3) That Obama put his “Birth Certificate” on the internet for the world to view.

4) That FactCheck is a non-partisan organization and that they verified his “birth certificate”

5) That the birthers have been “debunked”.

and for the more Savvy libtard that at least understands the arguments, that

6) Having an American citizen mother automatically makes Obama a US NB citizen.

Acknowledged. But I was strictly speaking of WND’s hypocrisy in criticizing Beck for inconsistency. Their “reporting,” and I use that term loosely, on the eligibility issue is consistently inconsistent. One never knows what is accurate in their articles without verifying the facts for oneself. With the MSM, I expect errors and blatant lies.

What an asshat whine that post is! ... I will absolutely guarantee you that Joe Farah does not hate MORMONS. On the other hand as a Christian man, I would bet he has no use for mormonISM, which makes whiners like you out of otherwise sane people. Don't you think that specious whine first raised at FR long before your boy Mitt ran for office is getting a bit dated, worn out, obsolete? That whine makes Mormons look like sissies who run to moderator mommy crying 'he hit me' when their ISM is questioned. How pathetic ... and unBeckish, I might add!

Except Beck is a libertarian and that was not exactly how he said, I know I watched the interview, he said he had other issues to cover, he is letting other people take on social issues...

You're funny. In fact, it's quite funny to see all the "don't-offer-critiques-about Beck" crowd this past year.

First in 2009 into 2010, they told us, "Hey, stay off 'religious' stuff with Beck. For the most part he does, so stick to politics and social issues."

It'd actually be "fun" to go back to October '09 threads on FR & pull out all the FReepers who took this tactic.

Then once Beck himself launched full-blown into the "religious stuff" this year, of course the FR parsing about Beck's version of religious revivalism had to change. So now you're telling us, "Hey, stay off the 'social issues' when critiquing Beck. He's just dealing with politics and religion."

Well, AC, haven't you ever seen the word "socio-political"??? Politics is all about sociology!!! (Or haven't you ever taken any high school or university sociology course on politics???)

If you 'cede the social issues ground to the liberals, then only their cultural warriors can address the family, marriage, peer-to-peer influence, crime, abortion, all sex-based issues, and even the other side's socialism.

I mean please. Stop insulting our intelligence. It's maddening!!!
