The union representing the state's prison guards rolled out today its endorsement of Democratic gubernatorial nominee Jerry Brown. . . .
"Simply building more prisons is not the solution," he said in a statement. "We need a governor that understands the nuances and is willing to bring all of the stakeholders to the table in a concerted effort to collectively resolve this ongoing problem."

Shocker!...........NOT
Jerry Brown has that “union label” stitched through is horrid little soul.
The prison guards union supported Gray Davis.
Just another corrupt union hoping to fill their pockets with taxpayer dollars.
I didn’t even know he’d been convicted?
Of course they did. Jerry Brown is the only candidate who will fight for the Prison Guard Union’s absurd 90% retirement salaries and other bank-breaking benefits given to this thug organization over the years which is what’s helped put California into a financial black hole. An endorsement by this union ought to cause you to automatically vote for their opponent.
Of course they do.
The prison guards union is the second most corrupt union in Ca ... second only to the SEIU ... and that’s a VERY close second
Beware of any person or organization that uses the word “stakeholder”.
I am surprised Brown didn’t ask them to keep quiet. Their endorsement is unlikely to do anything except repel voters who are not prison guards, since everyone knows about their salaries and pensions.
Well then... the inmates will just have to vote republican. You never know in California.
LLS
Did he get the prisoner’s endorsement too?
Governor Moonbeam probably gets almost a much support from the prison guards as he gets from the prison convicts.
Flush Brown down the toilet.
Anyone that works for the state or is a ward of the state is going to vote for socialism. It is in their own best interest to do so. Government workers have become the new ruling class.
If Brown and Boxer win I will completely give up on California. It will show the majority of the population is insane. Saw it off and let it sink.
I seem to remember some obscene union pension benefits a few years back under a Democrat governor - was it Brown?
No it was the clone, Grey Davis. Brown will just make sure those life-sapping pensions for prison guards stay in place.
