So Dingell has been in DC all his life, contributing nothing positive to society, just sucking off the government teet. Then Dingell has the nerve to bad mouth his opponent, a cardiologist, who earned his money, as Dingell says, from the broken health care system. Like the respected doctor is somehow scamming the system. Not from years of schooling, training and treating sick patients.
Unfortunately Dingell has a decent lead, but Steele sounds like a fighter.

Did John Dingell EVER have any other job?
If not, then how is he going to polish his resume? This is not 55 years of experience, it is one year’s experience some 55 times.
Over that span of time he has learned nothing and forgotten nothing, much like the Bourbons of France or the Hapsburgs of Austria.

I heard a clip from Dingell on Glenn Beck this afternoon. It was the one where he was comparing the Tea Party (during the summer town halls) to the Klu Klux Klan.
What a despicable man. It would be a nice cap on November 2nd to hear he’s lost his seat.

If nothing else he will get his name out there. I lived in this district for many years. Not a chance in the world a republican can win it. We are talking Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti (2 far left cities) and Dearborn.

I hope Dingell CRIES when he loses.
That would make me smile.

FIFTY-FIVE FREAKING YEARS! He has been in the same office since before most of the people in the US were born! He just WILL NOT give up the power he has accrued until they stuff him in a box and bury him. And the sooner bastards like him are dead and gone, the better off the country will be.

Probably the least likely of 4 possible pickups in Michigan but I’m glad to see someone trying. I’ve even spared a couple dollars for his campaign since the 7th district looks pretty good for now.

Too funny, either he or his father have been in that seat since the 30’s. History could happen this year.

I agree. Funny how the politicans think of people in their 50’s, 60’s and 70’s as fragile and have to be taken care of and this ***** congressman are 85 and somtimes older by their own words they should be put in a assissted living facility. “It takes a long time to control the People” shut up and go away dingleball

Yes and I believe his son is being groomed to take his place. This has truly become a Dingell seat!

That’s why I donated to Steele.

I think a good ad to use against Dingell would show a photo of him on one side of the screen. On the other, the years scrolling by and a ticker of how many taxpayer dollars his career has cost.
At the end, simply a black screen with the words “55 years and x ammount of dollars. Had enough?”

I still remember Al Gore stalking Dubya during one of the 2000 election debates, hounding him about some stupid Gun bill or something, and Gore trying to show how smart he was because he could name the sponsors...”What about Dingell-Norwood?” he asked in a smarmy way.
Dubya just ignored him. :)
