When Bill Clinton came to town this week to raise bucks for Mark Dayton's gubernatorial bid, he also held a late-night fundraiser for state Sen. Tarryl Clark, who's trying to unseat the Sixth District congresswoman.
According to Salon's Joe Conason:
"Your opponent," he told Clark, "is the ultimate example of putting ideology over evidence."
"I respect people with a conservative philosophy," he continued. "This country has been well-served by having two broad traditions within which people can operate. If you have a philosophy, it means youre generally inclined one way or the other but youre open to evidence. If you have an ideology, it means everything is determined by dogma and youre impervious to evidence. Evidence is irrelevant.

I've got 2 quarts of Schlitz Malt Liquor saved up for the day they plant this idiot former President in the Earth. I'm going to filter it really good and then return to the ground from which it came.

This guy thinks he’s more relevant than he is, or ever has been. (Did I say “Has Been?”)
He must realize that despite being so “popular,” he was in two national elections and NEVER got over 50 percent of the people to vote for him, right?

Ideology is built as a reaction to the repetition of stupid ideas.
It’s simply a short cut to the truth. Without it, you just keep having the same arguments over and over.
