We’re self-employed and would like to move, but with the ups and downs of our income over the past 18 months, I’m not sure we could get another home loan, maybe ever. That’s a scary thought.

That's the whole deal with self employed....There is no steady income for the most part...it's not secure and ya never know what your going to make 2 or 3 months down the road....No unemployment, and many self employed can't even afford basic heath care for their family.
