If true, it’s one more confirmation that Bush, although admirable in manyu ways, was nearly as bad about refugees as Obama.

There were virtually no Muslims in this country until what, the 50s? 60s? How did we get started doing this?

Very depressing indeed.

There were virtually no Muslims in this country until what, the 50s? 60s? How did we get started doing this?

Just guessing, but since 'most' cancers that America is having to contend with ultimately originated with the ACLU, I'm guessing that either they or one of their tentacles had a role in opening these particular floodgates.

According to this report from the Center for Immigration Studies, the U.S. had only 29,000 muslim immigrants from the Middle East as of 1970. At that time, close to 90% of Middle Eastern immigrants were Christian.
