Yep, that would take care of the useless BLM and eliminating the dept of Aggriculture would take care of the equally worthless USFS.

As an anecdote, 25-years ago when I moved to the small town in Idaho where I live, the USFS had about 25 seasonal and permanent employees covering the local district ranger office and the supervisors office. We had 5-lumber mills operating, a couple of mines, and lots of cattle on grazing permits. Today, there are over 100-idiots working just at the FS, not counting the BLM, and there are no sawmills in the area, cattle numbers are about half, and there are no mines in operation. Absolutely crazy!!

I once ranched in eastern Oregon (70-74) where the only two industries were ranching and logging. The 5 mills are down to 0.5, and ranching is about half. So, I know exactly what you are talking about.

The other thing that needs to happen is 90% of the federal lands should be sold to US citizens. Tell me why the govt should own half or more of the land in some states?
