Haven’t heard why, yet. In Alaska, Murkowski is running against the Tea Party candidate, who won the primary. All the Alaska GOP is still endorsing her, and I suspect many of the GOP mainstream are, too. (She went back to DC to get re-assurances that she should mount a write-in campaign.) Seems like, behind the scenes, elitist Republicans will work against the conservatives of the party. Third party — wouldn’t have that problem.
