Are there any members here who have an idea about the cost of winning in DE? She has about $2 mill and I didn’t know if this was sufficient.

Don’t know but I think it really depends on how you use it. And another thing. I wonder if that isn’t the real target, the national money machine that just poured all that money in. Using those old clips as an attack method is designed, at least in part, to drive a wedge between her and those *conservative* voters who will only hear her name being associated with witchcraft, but won’t get the context of the actual discussion (which, from what I saw, was Christine rebutting the idea that witchcraft was not real, a popular misconception among some liberals). This kind of associative conditioning is used by professional propagandists to drown your opponent’s message in a sea of unsavory mental associations, even if those associations are completely invalid. I think it’s called jamming.

Anyway, the point is, her campaign can’t afford to lose the national support system, so we need to help her, to the extent possible, by breaking the invalid association wherever we can. Judo politics: she should figure out a way to use the story to advance her message and transform the association from negative to positive, or even invert the signal to show the real deviltry to be the Marxist ideology driving her opponents.

>>>Are there any members here who have an idea about the cost of winning in DE? She has about $2 mill and I didn’t know if this was sufficient.<<<

I have seen the figures for past elections, but this one is different than any other... I think Christine had something like $150k for her campaign against Biden - he spend double digit millions. and she got 35% of the statewide votes.

Christine ran a bit in the hole on that about $11k - but the gal can take $100 and get $1,000 work out of it... Castle outspent her about 10-1 and she got 54%.

Hehehe remember that American Express or some other credit card company commercial... Here it would be - campaign sign $5 Radio spot $40 - $50 Million in free publicity on every radio, TV, newspaper and internet across the nation- PRICELESS!

Her name is now known at every grocery store, shoe shop, beauty salon, bar, church, and political office - nationwide! Almost time to call on all those who now know her to join in sweeping up the Dem. mess.

The choice is not going to be between Christine and some other guy, it will be against someone who in his Junior year at College made one choice - to go to Kenya and became a ‘bearded Marxist’ as he self describes OR someone who was unhappy with her life as a Junior in College and turned everything around and became a devout Christian. Not just professing, but actively working for organizations and programs to help youth to see - through her own testimony - the folly of sin and the saving grace as she had experienced. With a budget of $2,000 she started S.A.L.T. a Christian outreach group and got National acclaim. Christine said that night when she decided, she realized you either had to be very good or evil. She chose good - her opponent chose the other path.

Coons has a huge task to overcome his financial management failings... When he came into office, there was a surplus reserve fund of $133 Million with annual expenses about 155Million - pretty good - well, didn’t take him long to start spending more and taxing more - to build up the reserves? Nope - he continued plundering those funds to where in 2014 (from their own flow-charts) the County will be bankrupt and every cent of the 133 Million will have been spent. - BANKRUPT! Can you believe he ran an ad bragging of his fiscal responsibility? And this is with first a 5% property tax increase - then a 17.5% increase and just last year - biggest tax increase ever for them - up another 25%. But, that only stopped the hemorrhage of cash for the current year - next year he has a budgeted 6% loss and it jumps up from there till all reserves depleated mid 2014.

So, to your question - I have NO IDEA what it will cost for a campaign this year... She right now has 1.5X his funds, but I don’t know what the Dems are going to pour in, but you can rest assured Christine will get lots of mileage out of every dollar.
