What happened to the “I am the leader of the Tea Party Movement”? When the Tea Parties first started remember how the left kept trying to create a leader so they could demonize him/her? I thought the strength of this movement was that it was truly unstructured, non-partisan and a real grassroots movement. Now we have leaders...

No, the Tea Party doesn’t have leaders. Or at least in the traditional sense. There are leaders at a more local level and a loose organization bringing hundreds together in conference calls but no one has control over any chapeter.

You just have people who want to lead nationally for the power. People who have tried from the start to co-opt the Tea Parties influence and power for themselves. It never happens.
