A report (pdf) has just been published by the Center for Security Policy, which should be taken seriously by anyone with an interest in national security issues, and particularly those in government. The report has been written by TEAM B, a panel of 19 people, headed by Lieutenant General William G. Jerry Boykin and Lieutenant General Harry Edward Soyster.
From 2003 to 2007 Boykin was Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence, and Soyster was a former Director of Defense Intelligence Agency and Commanding General at U.S. Intelligence and Security Command.
The 17 associates in the report include Maj. Stephen C. Coughlin (ret.), Andrew McCarthy , Ambassador Henry Cooper, Admiral James A. Ace Lyons - US Navy (Ret.), former Commander-in-Chief, Pacific Fleet, John Guandoloformer Special Agent, Counter-Terrorism Division, Federal Bureau of Investigation, R. James Woolseyformer Director of Central Intelligence and others.
The message is simple but strong. There may be some libertarian interpretations of sharia law, such as that practiced by the late Gus Dur, an Indonesian religious leader, where sharia is seen as a guide to personal conduct. That interpretation of sharia is rare, however, and more people and most Muslim nations respect the other end of the sharia spectrum. This shade of sharia is connected with Islamic supremacists (Islamists) who are directly opposed to all of the liberties and democracy that could only have grown in the Enlightenment and later. The Enlightenment values that inspired and informed the Founding Fathers to create America, which epitomises Western Democracy, are the antithesis of the extremist Islamist side of sharia.

A sample of the information contained in the report:

"...The U.S. government line remains unchanged even as our enemies make plain the connection between their aggressive behavior and shariah-animated jihad. To cite but one example, Irans President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad publicly describes the ongoing historic war between the oppressor and the world of Islam, 34 Yet, Obamas top counterterrorism advisor, John Brennan, insists that the President does not accept that there is a Global War with Islamic terrorists.
Brennan further announced that the term jihadists will no longer be used to describe our enemies. According to Mr. Brennan, to use the term jihadists in describing Islamic terrorists is a mistake because it is a legitimate term, jihad meaning to purify oneself or to wage a holy struggle for a moral goal. He maintains that this use of the term to describe al Qaedas ruthless operatives risks giving these murderers the religious legitimacy they desperately seek, but in no way deserve.35 The problem with this formulation is that jihad as a holy struggle for a moral goal may not be in conflict al-Qaedas ruthless operations..."

This is not news to most FReepers, however, the information gathered and presented here is the best, most concise warning I have seen. It is an excellent source to pass on to those less informed.
Ping
Thought you would find this interesting.
*BUMP*
thanks
Pinging FYI..
The current administration’s approach to Islam is the same mentality that would put a rabid dog in a petting zoo.
BUMP for later reading...
Silly, they spelled “Sarah” wrong.
A good question for all campaigning politicians from the State level to the US would be if you haven’t read the bills that come before you before you vote for them-to see what is in them—why should i believe you might read something as interesting as this? Why should I vote for somebody who has not read nor understood this paper?
“You can download it here”
Thanks!
Thanks.
When Muslims reach a critical mass, they start killing random people (including marginal and sectarian Muslims) to instill fear and retreat. They hide among “peaceful” Muslims who shield them. They depend on the vain attempt to separate out the killers from the innocent, the legal approach, when in fact it is a shooting war between all who hold the Muslim ideology and the rest of us. There may be a few authentic “moderate” Muslims. There is no such thing as moderate Islam. The book says what it says, not about people who lived thousands of years ago, but about You:
KORAN [9.29] Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.
KORAN [9.30] And the Jews say: Uzair [Hebrew: Ezra] is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!
KORAN [9.31] They have taken their doctors of law and their monks for lords besides Allah, and (also) the Messiah son of Marium and they were enjoined that they should serve one God only, there is no god but He; far from His glory be what they set up (with Him).
KORAN [9.32] They desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths, and Allah will not consent save to perfect His light, though the unbelievers are averse.

This must be treated like a war. First, the Trojan Horse of “moderate” Muslims must not be alloweed to further infiltrate the West. Those already here must be monitored. You can do your part by talking to Muslims. Ask them about the abhorrent things in the Koran. Don’t forget the Hadith. Criticize: Push them to deny or defend. Muslims cannot stand criticism and go quickly from argument to anger when they realize you are steadfast and knowledgeable. Make them identify themselves. They depend on secrecy of their actions and beliefs, which there is no excuse to allow in the internet age. It may be uncomfortable but YOU must stand up for yourself and your beliefs and in the long run defend your family and your life. You will not be making enemies, only learning who they are before they stab you in the back, possibly literally.
Thanks for the ping.
I agree.
