I weep for our country and the direction it is being forced to take.

When the Second American Civil War begins, I hope that this type of nonsense will be permanently eradicated.

Has anybody ever seen some of these allegedly discriminating questions?

What the hell is wrong with people?!! How damn hard is it to study and pass a test? NO! I don’t want to hear sh** about your “culture”. 2+2=4. Period. The answers are either wrong or right, not in-between.

“The judge said black and Hispanic applicants had disproportionately failed the written examinations and those who passed were placed disproportionately lower down the hiring lists than whites.”

As for the candidates who failed the written examinations: Boo Freakin’ Hoo! As long as everyone is taking the same test, I don’t see anything here but candidates who failed to pass muster.

As for “those who passed...placed disproportionately lower down the hiring lists”: I’d like some more information. If it is simply a question of the overall scores or qualifications being lower than other candidates who happen to be white, Boo Freakin’ Hoo (redux).

If, however, there is some arbitrary factor in play, I’d like to know the details of it. Not because I necessarily suspect racism (I don’t). But because I wouldn’t want to see *any* candidate for *any* job disqualified by some arcane bureaucratic rule.

So how exactly do you have an exam that discriminates against minorities. You only ask the ultra top secret questions that only whites would know? Now they’re supposed to dumb down the test in order to get less gualified people. Wow.

New York city couldn’t afford to hire new ones if it wanted to.

I see... the exam MUST be biased because blacks and hispanics fail it in a greater percentage than whites. Why do I suspect that if the exam was written in spanish ebonics, nothing would change?

Too bad the minorities didn't prep for the exam like the non-minorities did:
