It is very inhumane and cruel to kill any living animal’s veins and arteries and then let it die slowly. Reminds me of bull fighting.
So yes, anything which kills the animal quickest and with least suffering is the only humane method.
But why is any one surprised about muslims. They are the only group I am aware of who regularly behead living human beings. There was a video floating around on internet about Al Qaeda beheading a hapless American whose hands and feet were tied and they cut his neck with a 4 or 5 inch knife. The poor victim was screaming his head off and then the blood made him make awful gurgling sounds as he was drowning in his own blood. These people are barbaric, fanatics, and classic definition of insane.
It is a good thing they lose every war they have fought against non-muslims in the last couple of hundred years. Less than 4 million Israeli’s beat the shit out of 100+ million Arabs in the 1967 war. The Indians have regularly beat up on Pakistani’s in the past in spite of Pakistan’s better military hardware acquired from US. They are not brave enough to fight in combat so all they can do is plant bombs like cowards and behead tied up human beings.

"The slaughterer must be a mature pious Muslim of sound mind who understands fully the fundamentals and conditions relating to Halal slaughter, and be approved by the religious authorities." (El-Mouelhy, 1996)
"Only acceptable live animals and birds can be slaughtered." (El-Mouelhy, 1996)
"The slaughter must be done manually using a stainless steel knife." (El-Mouelhy, 1996)
"Facilities must be available for rinsing the knife after each kill." (El-Mouelhy, 1996)
"The slaughterer must sever the respiratory tract, esophagus and jugular vein." (El-Mouelhy, 1996)
"The animal must be completely dead before skinning takes place." (El-Mouelhy, 1996)
