Conservative activists on Saturday picked Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) as their choice for president in 2012.
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin -- who was the vice presidential candidate on the unsuccessful 2008 GOP ticket -- was voted the pick for vice president in 2012.
Palin, who has helped conservative candidates storm the national election scene, was awarded the VP spot because Pence also won the vice presidential straw poll.
Tony Perkins, the head of the conservative Family Research Council, announced the results of the straw poll at the annual Values Voter summit in Washington on Saturday.

Been posting it for while now:
DeMint/Pence 2012
A Palin Bolton sounds good to me.
see my tagline
I recall getting a sick feeling about his illegal immigration stand, kinda like with W.
I can go with Pence, but Paul Ryan is the man.
I’d like Pence and DeMint on a ticket together. Not sure who to put at the top though?
Well, sad to say, given the superficial and impulsive way so many Americans vote, I kind of think Pence would have the edge. He’s not too old and not too young, looks great on TV, and has a lot of the “gravitas” the media love to talk about. DeMint just comes off a bit “grandpa-ish” to me, and I worry about the younger demographics with him.
I think I agree. I really want DeMint, but he would probably serve better whipping congress into shape.
Well, at least conservative came second and not third.
Pence is a good man. He could be at the top of my list if I knew he was reliable on border security and immigration. On the last Jorge Bush/Juan McShame amnesty push, however, if I remember correctly Pence was trying to triangulate rather than defeat it outright.
Other than that weakness, which is huge in my opinion, he’s solid.
Pence picked as best presidential material at RINO summit— there fixed it
Sarah is not going to run for VP again. I wish the media would quit with this nonsense.
Thanks for post #20. I didn’t know that about Pence.
Watch the video yourself and make up your own mind. I was impressed with Pence. On the other hand, Mitt Romney was a clown.

A good pick.
Yes, Palin/Bolton is great.
DeMint will not run, btw.
DeMint/Pence 2012
Agreed.
John Bolton: Secretary of State
Duncan Hunter: Secretary of War (yeah, I'd change the department title back)
Paul Ryan: Office of Management & Budget
Sarah Palin: Personal Advisor to the President
