Flaky GOP candidates might win on passion, energy
Arizona Daily Star ^ | Eugene Robinson Washington Post Writers Group

Democrats shouldn't take the Republican Party's bitter internal warfare - and the inexperienced, flaky candidates who've emerged from the fray - as any kind of reassurance about November. Try as it might, the GOP probably can't defeat itself. Not this year, anyway.

I don't mean that the battle between the Republican establishment and the take-no-prisoners tea party insurgency is inconsequential.

The dems shouldn’t talk about flaky, after all, it is a requirement for their candidates, just look at the President, veep, and all of the dem house and senate. Its a veritable who’s who of nutcases. Norman Bates is sane in comparison.

Eugene you are so far out of reality, come on this site and see how wrong you are, we will eat our own before we let the Democrats get to them.

Flaky but passionate (at least during the campaign) and energetic (at least during the campaign). Well, gee, doesn’t that describe obama exactly?

The DNC white boys are working Robinson to death trying to trash Americans. It can get tough being a DNC token sometimes. Especially around the elections.

>> the take-no-prisoners tea party insurgency is inconsequential

But when a leftist or islamist insurgency is “take-no-prisoners” (literally!!), the press helps them become consequential and insists that they be taken seriously in politics.

Flaky like Rangel, Waters, Kerry, Pelosi, Boxer, Dodd, Reid, Schumer, Biden, the Mullah, Geitner, Axelrod, Emanuel, and the rest of the Regime?

There isn’t a RAT who isn’t flaky, corrupt, an ego maniac, or power hungry or anti-American in my opinion. How about yours?

Amid the trove were old television clips in which she said outlandish things; on MTV, speaking in behalf of sexual abstinence before marriage, she once argued that even self-gratification should be foresworn.

abstinence before marriage is an outlandish thing?

Even Eugene, affirmative-action Pulitzer prize winner and MSNBC’s token house black man, is making excuses for the coming tidal wave.

Davy...Davy Crockett king of the wild frontier. I do believe Mr. Crockett was a congressman, coon skin cap and all. I think this nation has always loved kooks and oddballs, they are the ones who seem to have the courage of their convictions and tend to be the most honest.

Flaky. May I mention Senator Frankin?

But I agree our Tea Party Candidates can win if they stay on message. And the Party Elite don't sabotage their campaigns.
