Things have REALLY changed since my time! During the early 1980's in rural WV I remember boys would often come to High School during hunting season wearing Camo and with guns in their trucks. I distinctly remember one incident where two boys were standing in front of the school and one had a rifle, the Asst. Principal walked up and asked them what they were doing. They responded that Boy 1 was showing Boy 2 a rifle that he was thinking about selling. The Principal just rolled his eyes and told them that this was a school not the local Swap and Shop and to put the gun in their truck and conclude their business after school.

Could you imagine if that happened today! It would be a national news story...

The good old days , in college(early 70’s) we had wild west days and were allowed to carry western sidearms. ( we were asked to make sure that they were not loaded, but no one ever checked). p.s we also had a yearly Roman slave girl sale to raise money for charity( never going to see that again in our PC nation.
