>>Muslims should not be allowed into our country, much less our military. Ticking time bombs.<<

Anytime you want to say it again, send it to me and I’ll agree with you. You do need to change the spelling to Moslems though.

There is no correct spelling of Moslem/Muslim. Any spelling using Latin characters is a transliteration and an approximation. There are also many regional variations of the vowel sounds in Arabic, none of which sound quite like any English or American vowel sounds. It is as with the name Hussein. The name may as correctly be spelled Hussain (except when it is the name of an American originally spelled with the Latin alphabet) or Hussain or Hossayn etc. Arabic variations transliterate approximately as Hassan, Hosni, Hussein etc. For the religious adjective I tend to use “Moslem” or “Mussulman” or “saracen.” Moor will also do or paynim.

I always thought “Moslem” is the older English form of “Muslim”. The former sounds almost harmless, “mozzlemm” unlike the later which is uttered with a hiss - “moossslimm!”

Anyway, IMO the correct term for a ROPer is “Mohammedan” or “Mahometan” since it is clear that they worship their must-never-be-criticized “prophet” with far greater fervor than their cold distant “Allah”.

And yes, I support expulsion of all Mohammedans from our `infidel’ midst, and the immediate nuclear destruction of their unholy city which they call “Makkah”.

Deus vult!

Both are/can be correct spellings.

Our neighbors from Palestine speak Arabic with a Jerusalem accent ~ which means most of the Egyptians, North Africans, Saudis, Syrians and Iraqis around here can't quite understand them.

There's a lot of flexibility on the part of vowels in the Semitic languages ~ they're not at all tied down which is why they use DOTS ~
