"In June 2009, a New Jersey state judge decided that a man who punished his wife with pain for hours and repeatedly raped her was not guilty of criminal sexual assault, citing the man's religious beliefs."

I have no idea how trial judges serve in NJ - term, life whatever. But, that sentence is all anyone needs to read to know that a seat on the bench for life is a BAD, BAD idea. His stupidity really goes beyond description. He should be removed post-haste.

RE :His stupidity really goes beyond description. He should be removed post-haste.

The beautiful thing about a ruling like this is it shows how crazy these liberal NJ judges are. It gets overturned anyway so no one is hurt by it.

The ruling that actually still bothers me is the one that told the NJ legislature that they had to re-write the domestic partner/same sex marriage law. If the liberal voters in NJ want same sex marriage I can live with that but a court telling the legislature what laws they must pass really annoys me. The ruling class.
