Take that, GOP Establishment & All Skeptics!!!
GO CHRISTINE!!!!!
Bingo! The DNC was previously unconcerned with the race. Now that O'Donnell is on raking in the donations, the DNC will have to redirect dollars originally slated for other races. The state media and DNC "triage" plans are now in disarray and spiraling down like turds in a toilet.
I hope her campaign can stay ahead of the RNC contributions to the Democrap candidate.
Rove is a numbers guy “X number of Republicans in a district that has trended Republican over 100 yrs is a good place to spend money”
What he is missing is Mo-Mentum, in politics it means a great deal, and right now O’Donnell has the Mo.
He does raise legit issues, however, as a Republican why air them in public other than to protect himself if O’Donnell loses?
Let the Dhimmis raise them so O’Donnell can fight them as a partisan attack, when Rove pulls out the dagger it looks terrible..he knows better than to do that to O’Donnell.
Until and if there’s another, detailed story, that’s what we have.
I don’t care about her debts and all that little stuff.
But that’s not the same thing as saying that her background is great.
I do think that she might need a better answer.
Here’s the thing.
Average people run into economic problems that sometimes mean they can’t pay their bills.
If the Dems argue only that she didn’t pay her bills, we’re fine.
But they probably won’t.
They might say “what kind of person, who never even paid her final small bill to her college to get her degree, runs for the US Senate over and over again?”
And our answer, that Christine is an average person, is simply inadequate to that line of attack.
She ran a write in campaign in 2006 (I think) against Carper. She did well, getting 4.3% abouts. But she had those college degree problems then. Why didn’t she take care of that particular problem then? A democrat could easily say “wouldn’t a sane candidate take care of this? There is nothing wrong with being poor. But most poor people know that when there are clear problems can be fixed by paying a minor bill, you fix them. Especially when you run for the US Senate. Over and over and over again.”
I’m 100% behind O’Donnell. I’ve been hyping her here on FR since May 27. 100%. But she needs a better answer than “what, you don’t like poor people now”
Her bio has her working at the RNC in DC 20 years ago. Christine is not a poor person with some money problems.
It’s a different story that what we’re telling. I don’t know what she’s going to come up with, but I do know that it should and can be even better than “poor person”.
Fighting the establishment for 20 years. They attack me, sometimes I take a financial hit. Fighting for conservative moral values. The GOP didn’t do it, somebody had to. It doesn’t pay well, but it was the right thing to do. She has The Passion on her resume.
Excellent point. I believe that these people exist for one another, to feed off each other. Social and political remora.
Folks like O'Donnell might upset their scheming and machinations. So, folks like her need not be allowed access to the decision making process.
Yea, but you gotta buy your ads in Philly, Baltimore, and Salisbury to cover. Ridiculously expensive, given the sea of mushy Independents and lame DUms you have to reach out to.
I bet that left a mark...well, if he read it. I suspect not everyone was as restrained, language wise, as you were.
Cable is local.
Who watches the networks anyway.
Clean up in Aisle 1. One click will do when posting. Use patience.
Aw come on....take a stand.
Just say, softly if you have to....something to the effect that it probably wasn’t a good idea to go trashing your winning candidate within ten minutes of victory.
Try it. Put on your big man pants.
Because NOTHING is ever improper with these people.
Employer/occupation information is a requirement. Candidates all ask for that.
I respectfully, though vehemently, disagree. Was it a legit issue when James Callender attempted to impugn Thomas Jefferson with stories that the latter fathered a child with one of his slaves?
Believe me, I did some editing after giving it a second thought. I kept saying “Nope, that won’t do...”.
My point is, I know I’m not alone in taking him to task. I just wanted to show what one person said. The man has ticked off any number of good Americans, and I suspect his head is swimming with the volume of negative responses he’s received. And it will only get worse, the longer he digs in his heels.
Karl, let me explain something directly -- you are pissing off the vast majority of people who had your back when Fizzy was gonna return a True Bill and Indict your ass.
Memories are long, Karl. Ask Murkowski when it turns out she can't get elected dog catcher for the rest of the life.
Just sent Christine $100.
Why did Rove go to Dover and ask to meet privately with her people.....to ask her to drop out and let the entitled One win?
Who was he representing?
Who paid him?
Rove has a huge conflict of interest on this primary!
Dude, she's immune. Heard of the Treasury Sec'y Geithner and his tax problems? Heard about the 41 people in Bobo's WH who owe the government they're allegedly running $831055?
Everybody's broke, everybody's had problems paying their bills in the last two years, this isn't the season people care about that.
She's gonna win, and it'll be up to the MSM to elect an MSM'r to whine louder (and invoke more negative self-karma) than Peter 'No-Filter' Jennings: "The Nation threw a temper tantrum tonight".
You gotta buy where the eyes are, and the mushys still watch the evening snews, Oprah, etc etc etc. She has to slot everywhere Coot or w/e his name is. Media buys are a fascinating low art.
