Fast learner - what is he about 90 years old?
So he walked that one back. Guess he was surprised that Americans weren’t asleep. This is why we can never sleep again.
Phwew! That was close.
He gets the principle of negative rights, as applicable to Koran burning, correctly on this essay.
It’s a stupid publicity move, and even impolitic as it tends to harden “moderate Muslims” which America would rather have as allies than foes, but the government is duty bound to not ban it.
Would it were that Breyer always stuck to negative rights, i.e. principles of how the gummit must leave the people alone.
What’s the deal? If you read the linked CNNN story, it’s like Breyer never said what he said before.
I’m glad the supposed expert on the law only needed two tries to get that one correct...
Does a “right” exist if you can’t exercise it?

Welcome to post-free speech America.
The idiot clearly doesn’t need to be given a third try.
Damn, where’s Robert “I’ve got the Constitution in my pocket” Byrd when you need him?!?
Yeah, I’m thinking Breyer engaged his tongue before his brain was in gear on that one. A right that only exists if a feller with a bomb doesn’t object isn’t a right at all. Good to see the clarification. A retirement notice would be even better.
Too bad this goof isn’t up for re-election.
Now if he’d only have a “re-do” on his Kelo decision.
“...had the right to follow through with his intentions, Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer said Wednesday.”
.
SCJ Breyer had better double his bodyguard because he is in the path of a jihad train.
What do you mean by “we” creamo-Sabe Brewer
