I imagine they didn’t want to pay to have an “environmental impact study” done or some other goofy, liberal crap like that. We’re getting to the point in this country where you’re going to need an “environmental impact study” done before you can change a light bulb. FN liberals.

This is the P G & E (Pacific Gouge and Extortion) pattern, ask for a rate increase to repair something and then use the money for bonus payments to executives.
About 7 or 8 years a go P G & E ask for a $20 million rate increase to replace aging wooden electrical poles. TURN (The Utility Reform Network) noted during the hearing that P G & E had made an identical request the year before for replacing the same poles. In that case P G & E was forced to admit that they had used the money for bonus payments to executives and other employees.
