I had to go to the bank today to transfer money in order to pay my quarterly taxes (for any DU lurkers, taxes are things that people who work for a living have confiscated from them in order to have them redistributed to parasites, i.e., democrat constituencies).

As I was at the counter, one other person came in. First thing he said was “What’s with all the flags?” in an angry tone. “Holdovers from Labor Day”, he was told. He then immediately proceeded to rant on about Christine O’Donnell winning the GOP nomination in Delaware, and how it would ruin the GOP so they would not win the Senate. He mocked the rise of the Tea Party and called its members “scary looking”, but said he was concerned about how the Tea Party is “digging up” people who never vote to come to the polls and that is how they are getting their candidates elected.

I was going to loudly point out that a) he should look before he speaks, because one never knows if a Tea Partier is standing nearby and b) that the only party that “digs up” people to vote are democrats with dead voters...but then I looked closer.

All of the bank employees were looking down busily, and one was hurriedly processing his transaction. He wasn’t talking TO anyone...just prattling on hoping to find someone to engage him, with either an argument or even with vague pleasantries.

No one did. He left angrier than he was when he came in, flinging the door open on his way out.

Funny, but I had nearly the opposite experience about a week ago.

I stopped in the local supermarket, and there was a guy two places ahead of me in line, and something the unionized checker drone said set him off, but I missed that part.

He went off on a rant proclaiming himself a proud Republican and a capitalist, he said he was tired of working his butt off at his business to support parasites, and finished off with the observation that the president couldn’t run a candy store.

It was hilarious. The checker drone didn’t know what to say.

I just smiled and gave the guy a thumbs up.

That stuff makes my day. They live in a cocoon and when they realize that not everyone thinks the same way they do the get mad. Thankfully a job, age and wisdom usually cure the liberal mindset.
