Maybe having a recognized name backing O’Donnell will help her win the election. A RINO name, but still a well known GOPer.

Romney goes on the record and endorses the Saints in the last Super Bowl. Says, “I'm rooting for them and I hope they win.”

I would, though I doubt he’ll be the nominee. Either way, anyone is better than Obama!

I’m glad he is but is it really brave to back the winner of your primary?

It is when you hae the GOP establishment types criticizing her and threatening to withhold money -- the Wimps.

Well, well, at least he’s backing her now, isn’t he? Maybe, just maybe, he’ll put some money out for her. Or, he’ll do some fund-raising efforts for her?

A question for you: If Romney is the Republican nominee in 2012, will you support him?

No. Romney could never be nominee.
Ignoring that he is NOT eligible, and created RomneyCARE
the backstabber would get what he gave Gov. Palin.

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

Erick Erickson said:
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off ….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

Ms. ODonnel is going to need every bit of backing and funding she can possibly get between now and Nov. 2.

The dem/lib/prog/pops are laughing their collective asses off because they now are firmly convinced that their guy can kill Ms. O'Donnel in the upcoming election.

After all...this state is a bastion of liberals.

It is now up to Ms. O'Donnel to turn this around and win the state. This will provide the Senate seat the rinos were counting on, put a conservative Senator in office for six years, and make Karl Rove an even larger "has been" than he already is.

It is time for Mr. Rove to visit with Mr. Gingrich, sit on the back porch, drink burboun and branch...and talk about the good old times.

Added together, the both of them don't equal 10% of anything.

Palin Palin Palin! Have you ever considered anyone else? She is almost as pie in the sky as RINO Romney! We need to look at other candidates, because Palin is definately not a shoe-in.

I doubt that. There were so many others with higher stakes.
Not defending Romney, he’s unacceptable, but I don’t really see how O’Donnell effects Romney all that much. Yeah, a O’Donnell win helps Sarah, but why the attacks on Christine and not other tea party candidates? Before the primary, perhaps they wanted to keep Castle around for some reason. Any challenger would’ve gotten the same treatment. Why, especially, after Castle lost, are they still attacking Christine? Maryland is exactly as liberal/conservative as Delaware. Barbara M. is a Dem incumbent, old, in a year when people are pissed at the Democrats? Has the guy who won the primary gotten any press at all? Why not?

Mitt is part of the party powers, and Rove is his man.

Because it shows the Tea Party is no longer just a Red State phenomenon. And can reach into a blue state and primary a RINO.

Please define this term so that those of us who are not up on tech-y stuff can understand.

Great post.

We can expect RINO’s to be pushed back to the Right by the Delaware outcome. If they didn’t before, they get the picture now. Weasles, yes, but we prayed they would stop indulging the Left, and sleeping with compromise.

What are we going to do with Cornyn? Can he be transformed after wondering off the reservation?
