Jim DeMint's political operation is firing back at anonymous Senate Republican aides who criticized the conservative South Carolina Senator on Tuesday night for helping Christine O'Donnell capture the GOP Senate nomination in Delaware, possibly jeopardizing the party's chances of winning the seat in November.
One unnamed senior GOP aide told CNN's Dana Bash: "I wonder who Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer are calling first tonight - Chris Coons for becoming the next Senator from Delaware or Jim DeMint for helping to make it happen.
Another GOP leadership aide griped to Hotline On Call that "DeMint is not interested in a majority, he'd rather establish himself as the leader on the fringe."

I love the smell of desperation in the morning. Smells like, I dunno...Victory!
>> he’d rather establish himself as the leader on the fringe
Fair enough, son, but it would be wise to stop and take measure of the length, width, and depth of that “fringe” that Jim DeMint and Sarah Palin are de facto leading.
You might learn that it’s less fringey than you think.
I'm surely going to send a few bucks to Christine!
see my tagline
when the ‘establishment’ is against, the victory is always the more sweet. especially when the ‘establishment’ is wrong. time will tell, and when victory is secured, the ‘establishment’ can be run from the hill. the train rolls on!
I never send money but I just did send some to Christine and will send more in the future. The Repub establishment is so clueless they better get on board or get run over. We want conservatives that we do not have to anguish over or plead for their vote in the Senate. Are you listening Snowe, Collins, and Brown?
Lol. They think DeMint is fringe but the commie in the White House isn’t? They think it’s mainstream thinking to take over the healthcare, auto, banking and energy industries?

Sound like more sour grapes from Karl Rove and George Soros.
the fringe extreme majority
WTF is wrong with Republicans.?
They predict that O’Donnell cannot win in Delaware and then they go about trying to make their prediction come true by backing out on her and leaving her standing in the cold.
Dumbest move I ever saw, They should be right there helping her to beat the Democrat. Win or lose she represents the party, and the party dumps on her because she isnt a RINO?
If the Republcian party feels that way. F them.
In 2.5 years, Snowe won’t be a Republican Senator.
Contribute directly to candidates NOT the Republican Party, but contribute much more than before.
Such similarity of behavior....
Democrats in congress on health care the people don’t want: Screw them
Democrats (and RINOs) in congress on Cap & Tax that the people don’t want: Screw them
NRSC on the people not choosing their candidate: Screw them
I think their failure to recognize the true problem is NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT.

Given what the establishment Republicans have done to this country over the past fifty years with their "reaching across the aisle" and all, I would prefer that they get run over, quite frankly.....
DeMint and Bolten for 2012
They think Stuttering Barry is "my good friend", "My good collegue", "my friend from across the aisle", blah blah blah
