It was an amazing bit of television. Almost instant(ly) followed by an amazing bit of scoop.
*snip*
The normally rational and analytical Mr. Rove had vanished. In his place was someone who looked like Karl Rove, sounded like Karl Rove but spoke like the last guy out of the hoped-for-victory-party of the landslide losing candidate for Register of Deeds in NoPlaceville, Texas.
What on earth was Rove thinking? He was bitter, angry, cutting, demeaning, mean-spirited
and those were the nice things he had to say about O'Donnell.

A lot of freepers liked him during the Bush years, I never trusted him....all he did was get a almost rino in bush...good on foreign policy but democrat lite in domestic policy, working with Ted Kennedy of all people...Signing the unconstitutinal McCain Finegold, he expected the supreme court to save his butt and they didn’t...A good man with class, but poor domestic policy...
You nailed it!
LOL! Priceless...
Excellent question! After Rove's comments last night I doubt it will happen again, and I hope Rush addresses this today.
LOL! Rove has been this way for a long time. Nice try... That is what I call wishful thinking.... Sorry done with Rove!
The Republican Establishment is a subset of the Ruling Class and thus of the Social Democrat Party. They hate that conservatives are beating out RINOs because it endangers their access to Democrat and other leftist social events and gatherings where they relish being "appreciated" by the real ruling class.
Pres. W Bush was a poor advocate for conservatism.
He never went on the offensive but saw everything melt away.
It shows that these so-called
experts do not understand what the real sentiment is among the people. nor do they care. If he were smart Rove would shut his yap because the electorate is the final judge not he.

Yeah, this whole “Bush was a commie” crap is tiring.
I have to admit to being of two minds about this win. Castle is a RINO to the tenth power, but this would be a pick-up of a Democrat seat. Just as in Massachusetts, you’re not going to get a Reagan Republican win instantly. You have to understand the reality of the situation—yes, the Republicans in the state like O’Donnell, but Castle would have guaranteed that seat for another vote in at least SOME situations, and another R towards taking the senate.
O’Donnell has my positions, but if a Dem had some of her history, we’d be mocking her daily, and everyone reading this knows it.
I’d have voted for O’Donnell, and I hope she’s as good as I hope she is, but while in 99 times out of 100 you have to go against the RINOs, sometimes you have to look at the truth of the situation and admit it’s not how you’d like it to be, and take what you can get. Yes, compromise. In most of the races, that would be suicidal, but I think some people are getting carried away with emotion and not looking at long-term strategy—transition from Biden to Castle to someone more conservative next time, while building a Republican majority in the senate.
It would feel great to have nothing but Tea Party candidates taking the senate this year, but how are we gonna feel if we fall one shy, and it’s in this race, which would have been an easy win?
Don’t overestimate his intelligence.
Karl Rove, is that you?
I agree. No matter how intelligent anyone is, emotions can/do overrule sometimes.
I saw that rant live last night. It was a pure "let them eat cake" performance.
Rove can go straight to Hell unless/until he decides he's on our side. I suspect in the cold light of morning, he'll get hold of himself and do his duty.
Otherwise, he's finished in this town.
LOL!
There is no trying involved nor any wishing involved on my part. My opinion is my own and easily accessed from my experience.
If you are sincere in your "done with Rove" why are you apologizing? Obviously you have decided something. What within your decision requires a "Sorry"?
FRiend, this is a battle us Conservatives are fighting to win.
If you are a Conservative, speak up unashamedly, and without reservation and certainly without any apologies.
Again, just my opinion. :)
I have never had a problem with the idiot part. Here is a guy who spent hundreds upon hundreds of millions of Republican Campaign dollars, including my money, to produce campaigns that would have gotten any ad or marketing manager in America fired on the spot. Crap. And not even slick crap. To top it off, his favorite production company is run by Demoocrats who leaked every ad and strategy to the DNC!
I personally would like to see him duct-taped to Mary Matalin and Lindsey Graham and dropped in the Atlantic. Include Snow and Collins in that deal. The MSM loves him. Sean Hannity loves him. The Bush Family might still love him, but the guy is poison.
Rove is the guy who thinks illegal immigration is OK because Latinos, particularly Mexicans, are "the Republicans of the Future."
How this guy became "The Architect" of the Republican Party is one of the great mysteries of the last century.
Is that what you believe?
Laura Bush and Karl Rove go a long way in explaining why George W. Bush was so liberal.
Why do you ask?
We don't have time, nor will it work.
And she stands for conservative values, and no one who has lived in the real world is going to be laughing at her.
