Report: National Republican Senatorial Committee Won’t Fund Christine O’Donnell (Updated)
by Colby Hall | 10:35 pm, September 14th, 2010

Earlier tonight Christine O’Donnell was declared the winner of the Republican Senate primary in Delaware over heavy favorite Mike Castle. Since O’Donnell was viewed as the Tea Party candidate endorsed by Sarah Palin, with little chance of winning in the general election in November, this race had shaped up as a the GOP establishment versus the Tea Party Republicans. In fact, just last night Charles Krauthammer called a vote for O’Donnell as irresponsible. Well according to a recent report, it turns out that the establishment — in this case the NRSC – won’t be funding O’Donnell’s campaign.

Since it is money that often throws a race one way or another, you are prejudging the results and affecting them - not placing bets on sure things vs. losses. Quite transparent.

NO, I am using polling data that has been collected by a number of legitimate pollsters.

With that said, The DE race will crystallize in a week or two. Who knows, it may tighten. If it does, the money will be there. Right now, however, O'Donnell has a double-digit deficit to overcome.

NY could be considered some Democratic-inspired fantasyland - no? (JUST KIDDING!)

NY is a Democratic-inspired hell hole, which is why I left there years ago. Kept the same FReeper account though.

She's done it once before - eh?

"I live in the real world, not some Democratic-inspired fantasyland. The RNSC has finite aka not limitless resources. There are probably 10 or so marginal races that are in play for the Republicans."

RATS and RINOS may very well end up burdening lamp posts in the near future.

Horrfic? Very much so.

Plausible? Very much so.

Act accordingly. We're tired of your ****.

What exactly did I do here?

Suggest that money is better spent in races you have a good chance of flipping instead of one where you are down 10 points? This isn’t rocket science.

The RNSC is not throwing money into CT either, where McMahon is down by 6-9 points. Nor would you expect them to. (Of course McMahon can self-finance.)

I stand by my statement, if the DE race closes, resources will be made available, as they always are in close races.

Senator John Cornyn HEADS it.

See:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2589381/posts

Contact him:

http://cornyn.senate.gov/public/

DON’T be polite. The bastard doesn’t deserve it.

His and they’re action - including the tantrum CARL ROVE pulled on FOX last night is TYPICAL of RINOs. If they can;t get their man or woman in, they scuttle the ship.
THEN they have the temerity to say a Conservative can’t win. It goes on in New Jersey ALL THE TIME.

DON’T LET THEM DO IT.

Contribute DIRECTLY to candidates from now. When the RNC calls for a contribution, tell them to go to hell and hang up on them. I do.

After what they pulled tonight, my words to them will be somewhat harsher ;^)

You obviously don’t get it.

Like Rove, who dissed O’Donnell seconds after her win, we (real people) are tired of you and your ilk.

We are going to take back our Country. Get with us, get out of the way, or get crushed.

Pick one. We’re tired of you apparatchiks trying to run things. You won in Russia in 1923 but you won’t now.

You’ve been warned.

Ummm. I didn't dis O'Donnell. I know she's the better of the two candidates in DE. She's just not electable in the general.

I just stated the obvious. You obviously don't understand how money flows from the party to the candidates. If the candidate has a legit chance and the race is competitive, the National party comes in and helps.

If the candidate is down double-digits, they are less likely to do this. They'll pour money into states where they have a chance of winning (within a few points).

“Instead of contributing to the Republican Party, we will send our donation to Christine O’Donnell’s campaign. There is NO excuse for a national party to be this clueless.”

And we will tell them that when they call begging for our money.

They are headed toward being a “third party,” and it will be one of the minor parties.

"You obviously don't understand how money flows from the party to the candidates."

Eff the party.

Do I have to draw you a picture?

Don't know his name, but a Japanese Admiral at the onset of WW2 said of America, something along the lines of - "they have a rifle behind every blade of grass."

That hasn't changed, RINOS and RATS be warned.

lol the money quotes from their Info page:

“You may only be able to make a small difference, but that does not relieve you of the responsibility of making that small difference.” — Senate Chaplin Lloyd Ogilvie

A Tea Party takeover of the GOP means they are out of favor along with the rest of the Establishment old guard, and thus out of work, and out of power.

. . .

I don’t know. Trent Lott did okay for himself. After retirement he started a lobbying firm with another and they recently sold it for $millions to a larger firm. Still cashing his senatorial benefits checks too, I’d guess.

These establishment types like Murkowski, Castle, Crist, etc. will likely return to DC and work behind the scenes with a vengeance to undermine we the people.

You’re talking about Senators, who are automatically added to the Congressional welfare rolls for life.

I’m talking about the likes of Michael Steal and Karl Rove and all their staffers. The New GOP won’t have much use for the likes of them.

However, Trent Lott and other old Beltway RINOs are either cashing out, or working behind the scenes against the Tea Party. Because the Tea Party kids have no connections with them, and no use for them, so their stock will drop like a rock in the new environment on Capitol Hill. Who is going to hire a lobbyist who is out of the loop and has an out of date Rolodesk?
