I really hope that Jim DeMint is installed as chairman of the NRSC next session. Cornyn has been an absolute disaster for the Republican party, throwing money to RINOs who bolt the GOP to run against conservative candidates who have all gone on to be the party’s standard bearers.
No impartial observer can deny this, no matter how chummy they may be with Cornyn.

That battle is actually much more important than any single race. Senate seats come and go, but having effective control over the party apparatus is the important thing.
As long as people stay resolved, and if tonight is any indication there can be no doubt that they will, then Cornyn etc. will lose. And if he loses, then there is a chance of having an effective opposition to Obama and the left.
Tonight was a major turning point in American politics, one which will have long term, positive effects.
