Christine O'Donnell victory opens door for Sarah Palin White House run
Irish Central ^ | September 14, 2010 | Patrick Roberts

Christine O'Donnell's victory in Delaware is the equivalent of the shot heard around the world.

It shows that Sarah Palin will gallop to the Republican nomination in two years if the current seething anger in the party of Lincoln continues.

Who will stop Palin now with the Republican right in such a fired up, throw the bums out mood?

Mitt Romney, not on your Nellie?

Newt Gingrich? Last century's man.

O'Donnell's victory is far more significant than that of Joe Miller in Alaska. It occurred in a blue state where moderate Republicans long held sway.

She deposed Michael Castle, the very epitome of the establishment Republican party, a long time moderate who seemed a perfect fit for the vacant senate seat.

Along with Sharon Angle's victory in Nevada, it shows that the Republican right wing is transcendent that no candidate is too extreme for them and that the party has lurched far more to the right than anyone believed.

Back home in Alaska Sarah Palin may well be measuring her prospects for 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue if this continues.

As I have written here before it could well happen.

If she runs, I’ll contribute.

Unless O’Donnell and/or Angle win in November, it might all be moot.

I agree with the main thrust of the article, but the notion that Palin is some right wing lunatic is wrongheaded.

Best,

Chris

win or lose, SP will have her shot if she wants it. It does help her just a little at this point; not worth the rant this guy thinks because what if COD loses the general? Obviously if COD wins the general, that will be hugh and series.

Seems a bit premature on the Palin prognostication. Let’s see how O’Donnell does in November first.

Did you see that the GOP won’t help her? Every FReeper giving a little bit would rectify that...

“the party has lurched far more to the right than anyone believed.”

The party is moving back to its centrist conservative roots after swinging left thanks to the RINO’s.

Wow, it has been so long waiting to see this. If the RINOs are indeed out of power...

Ooops, scary thought. The RINOs might switch parties in a bid to hang on to power...

Maybe but I don’t care about presidential ‘12 right now.

My sights are on cleaning up the mess both parties have made in D.C. To that end we need to elect as many conservatives as we can this cycle and make sure they don’t stray. As well as groom new challengers to take on more entrenched powers in the party in two years.

It isn’t going to be pretty but civil wars never are. “Pragmatics had their way and were shown to accomplish little. It’s time now to knock some heads and articulate what we believe and pray the country responds.

We'll have to since the National Republican Senatorial Committee has come out and said that they will not support O'Donnell.

I sent off an E-mail to the Repub Senatorial Committee to night as well as the the RNC through their websites. I am so disgusted by the ploy of the Republican Senatorial election committee. This stinks, is disgusting and just what the dip-no-dems are looking for. More ammo! Is anyone else out there tired of the good ole boy mentality in D.C?
I am so angry!

Palin is the only one who could reverse what Obama had done to this country.
