Actually this is far better than most things. She is not wearing a boob belt, she does not have on one of her big ugly decorative pins on her jacket, but a nice respectful piece of jewelry. The jacket is stylish and dignified and although the pants seem too tight, at least the jacket covers her well. In the other pic of her in the brown dress that is also appropriate and shows she can look nice. I don't even mind the turquoise shoes, they ad some color. Even on WNTW Stacey and Clinton recommend a punch of color with dark clothing.
Maybe she has someone new giving her advice on her clothes. We will see. If she continues to dress in a way that is becoming to her figure, and dignified, we will know for sure that the old advisor has taken leave. Or, we will know she bought a mirror, LOL. Either way let's hope this is a change for the better. As much as I do not like the Obama's it would be better for the wife of the president to at least, look the part and display some respect for others, especially foreign heads of state.
Of course, with the elections around the corner, Michelle has probably been advised to tone down that in-your-face attitude her clothes have seemed to present. She is wearing things that more closely resemble what she wore before Obama was in the WH and when they were on the campaign trail. I am sure she didn't dress the way she has been dressing when she worked. She never could have been considered a serious executive in some of the get ups she has worn to important WH functions or official appearances.
The Obamas are quite aware of public sentiment swinging far away from what they enjoyed when they were campaigning and newly elected. They must be very concerned about how they appear now.

There has been a big change in her attire since the trip to Spain. She’s looking much more conservative lately: toned-down colors; classic suit jackets; her “Jackie-O” wig is back.
It’s so obvious they are trying to cast her in a better light.
I’m not one to run to the rescue of either of the O’s but I agree, this time she actually looks pretty good. The mountain gorilla stuff is out of line and sophomoric. Let’s at least try to keep the humor clever.
