There is no question O'Donnell is a flawed candidate somewhat heading into Nov. She is a big underdog and a longshot to win. Whereas Castle was not, and to some (rightly or wrongly...but not because of evil intentions for our Nation) believe it is better to hold a majority with some RHINO types than to not.

Rove really understands politics, right. He led the republican party to a disaster in 2006 and greatly helped its defeat in 2008. I only hope he joins up with the democrats where he actually belongs and leads them just as he did Bush and the republican party.

There are districts where a Republican can never win. That's where RINOs have always been used ~ but they have to agree to vote with the caucus for the legislative leadership, and not try legislative tricks with the other party.

This Castle is not now, nor was he ever a RINO. He's a regular old Rockefeller Republican, and they have a history of flipflopping on the leadership votes if they think they can get something (see Jeffords), and they're always into the "reach around" business to make deals with the Democrats.

No self-respecting RINO would do that ~ and if Rove thought this Castle guy was a RINO then he's lost command of the word.

What evidence do you have that he is a smart man? Rove is barely more in touch with politically reality than dingbat Dick Morris. James Carville may be a snake, but he is far more politically talented and savvy than Rove could ever dream to be.

An idiot could have defeated Al Gore and John Kerry campaigns, but Rove's incompetence actually made the races into nail biters.
