We entrust Google with our most private communications because we assume the company takes every precaution to safeguard our data. It doesn't. A Google engineer spied on four underage teens for months before the company was notified of the abuses.
David Barksdale, a 27-year-old former Google engineer, repeatedly took advantage of his position as a member of an elite technical group at the company to access users' accounts, violating the privacy of at least four minors during his employment, we've learned. Google's "randomization" of the last 256 bits of your IP after 18 months is worthless, as you are the only person with your surfing habits, it is easy to realign who you are with their prior captured data.
What is additionally funny is that they claim to have some sort of "internal privacy policy". This is apparently not stated for the public, is not externally audited, and is therefore worth nothing to us.
They pay their engineers to "play" with the data to mine it and to see other uses for it, even if their job has nothing to do with the data, as they have "free days" to take a break from their normal routines to dream up ways to use the Google data on all of us.
There's nothing keeping them from reading all of our emails in Gmail (or sent to a Gmail person), nor keeping them from reading our chats, listening to our Google Voice and Talk verbal conversations, etc.

My DH didn’t believe me about Google, but I did the switches myself. Now he doesn’t care.
If I google the last sentence of your post, this thread comes up. But if I do the same in Bing, it's clueless. So, I guess if you want to find stuff, you want to use Google.
Because Jim Robinson uses only Google Analytics on all these pages. That makes Google update with each page hit or change.
It’s not Bing’s fault.
