This is such a strange story (altho I agree, how come the grandmother didn’t know?) But, the daughter was in good health yet the 2 year old was starved to death? Seems like something more going on. I recall a story many years ago in East TX a family with multiple kids kept one little girl locked in a room for years, they barely fed her. I can’t remember how old she was when she was finally discovered, but it was simply awful. The other kids were fed and basically cared for but for some reason the one was isolated and kept in isolated and starved.
Evil exists and this is it’s face.
Evil has a lot of faces — that was surely one of them, though.
This is not a rare thing. Often one child is singled out for abuse. That was the case with a poor child who was murdered in NYC a couple of years ago. The murderous father was basically unrepentant, if you can believe that.
I’m sorry I can’t think of the name right now.
I don’t know if there are any theories as to why this singling out occurs.
