Dean Stabbed On MCC's Penn Valley Campus

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A college administrator, described as a dean, was stabbed at the Metropolitan Community College's Penn Valley campus on Tuesday morning.
According to police, a man in his 20s, wearing a bullet-proof vest, walked up to a man in his 40s and slashed his throat about 9:30 a.m. in the Humanities Building. The victim's injuries are described as serious. Witnesses told police the attack happened without provocation.

School policy is against carrying weapons on campus, except by LEO's. This must have been a disgruntled LEO, as no-one would go against the rules would they?

Very familiar with this part of Kansas City. The area is on the border of the urban core. Freinds that live there have nice homes nearby but problems with crime.
