The stories of Greek unrest that came to a head this past summer shocked the world. There, people had become so dependent upon government programs that when parliament tried to dismantle the welfare state, left-wing terrorist and anarchist groups lashed out.
One radical leftist group called Revolutionary Struggle is accused of shooting an Athens police officer during riots in 2009, toward the beginning of the Greek financial crisis. This past May, three were killed during protests outside the Greek Parliament when those whom the police identified broadly as anarchists, hurled gas bombs that engulfed a bank.
Such attacks are on the rise throughout Europe. According to Europol, the Hague-based European Police Office, in 2009 left-wing and anarchist terrorist attacks in the European Union increased by 43 percent compared to 2008, and more than doubled since 2007. The report sites Greece as an example of such violence.

Of course it is! Obama/Dems have set the table for riots by union members (public and private) against the individual.
It will start at the midterm elections (voter intimidation).
But will REALLY take place when Repubs try to cut spending.
All the useless, shiftless, parasitic union people (there are some union members who don’t agree with their union bosses, just to be fair) and our urban feral populations will picket, riot, burn, kill, extort, etc.
How can anarchists be opposed to reducing gov’t?
Notice to Terorists and Anarchists:
AMERICANS (NOT 0bama) aren't pansy-asses like europeans and thanks to our forefathers, we are armed!
That ain’t terrorism. Baader-Meinhof was terrorism.
...no Muslim uprisings in France? Who made this chart?
I guess that the anarchists live in the same leftist world where good is bad, up is down, left is right......They believe in the opposite of anarchy - totalitarianism.
As someone above said: the feral underclass is a whole different matter, but those are not really political riots, as in Greece. They are race riots, which is what we may get more of at some point. Greece doesn't have a huge hostile minority that occassionally goes on looting and arson rampages like we do. When Greeks riot is really is about politics, not getting free booze and sneakers.

Ya’all remember what happened last time someone tried to rob a vehicle? That lady shotgunned ‘em from her balcony.
Jest think what Bubba’s gonna do to anyone trying to burn his truck.
In the rather pretentious verbiage preferred by NPR listeners, “Successful violent street actions by even the most committed community organizers most probably will be terminated by violent opposition from Second Amendment Extremists.”

HA! Good one!!!
To quote Kelly Bundy, “I made a teacher retire with that one!”
I'd like to see them try it.
As soon as these smelly commies light the wick - they would get a nasty surprise from either the police or an armed civilian.
Arson as a form of protest doesn't fly here.

Our public employees are fat and lazy, and if even they tried to riot, it would only be funny.
It's a misuse of the word, like when suicide bombers are called "martyrs".
The "anarchists" who wear black hoods and smash windows are, in fact, statist thugs who want central power to destroy capitalism.
If you want an example of *real* anarchist thought, read Lysander Spooner, or Billy Beck over at http://two--four.net/weblog.php

It is already here. Wake up!!!!
The same media we quite properly excoriate everyday for propagandizing everything folks are willing to believe and give a pass to in their reporting on Greece?
Yeah that makes sense.. Not!!!
