Wow, what stupidity.

While it's understandable to oppose Castle, I'm sorry Rush is playing fast and loose with the facts. I don't think he's stupid enough to not understand the parliamentary procedures employed here, but maybe I'm wrong.

Yep Castle voted for "aye" on this resolution, but only for procedural reason. Peter King and Kevin Brady - hardly two "liberal" Representatives, also voted "aye".

A more detailed explanation may be found here.

You should educate yourself before posting such inflammatory idiocy.

"Yep Castle voted for "aye" on this resolution, but only for procedural reason."

Even Obama would have been smart enough to vote "present."

And... you should refrain from personal attacks on people have present facts not opinion.

As a Republican, you have two choices on this matter.

A) Vote with the Democrats on a President Bush resolution as Rep. Castle (R-DE) and 24 other Republicans did.

OR

B) Vote with the 166 other House Republicans did on voting NAY on this bill.

Based on your logic, the other 166 Republicans are too stupid to understand ‘parliamentary tricks’.

We’re all at liberty to vote whom we like, but if you identify yourself as a conservative, yet support Castle, I must say that I question your understanding of Conservative priniciples, or, at the very least, your sincerity.

Castle is to a Democrat in Republican clothing, if you will.

Your citing convoluted BS, troll. You've got more nerve than a bum tooth.

Castle was one of only 24 Republicans to vote for this?

When Republicans were the majority in the House...so there were maybe over 130 Repubs who did NOT vote for this silly thing?

We understand it was NOT a vote for impeachment but to assert that only Mike Castle was clever enough to push the thing aside to die a slow death insults us to high heaven.

It was a dumb vote and had Christine O’Donnell ever supported such a thing you’d be on here lambasting her to hell and back.

Dumb....it was dumb. And no stupid spin will ever make Mike Castle sound all wise and knowing about this.

So, the difference between an “aye” vote and a “nay” vote on HR 1258 is the difference between a quick death and a slow death?

Yeah, that makes perfect sense.

The link you posted used editing to make Castle good and call out others as liars.

From the actual Impeach Bush Site the full response to the question :

Q: How did our Reps vote and what does it mean?

A: Kucinich moved that HRes 1258 be referred to the Judiciary Committee. All of the Democrats and 24 Republicans voted "Aye" (yes). A yes vote could mean that the Representative supported the resolution and wanted to see it developed further in the Judiciary. Or it could mean they wanted to send it to committee for a slow death. Both Pelosi and Wexler voted aye. A no vote on the motion to refer would have resulted in a final vote on the Articles of Impeachment, which would likely have failed. 166 Republicans voted "No".

Careful calling others stupid, it can always come back and bite you in the butt. Castle can claim anything he wants, but he didn't vote to kill the bill and no day late doubletalk will change that.

It sure is giving Castle the benefit of the doubt to say he voted “aye” knowing it would be killed in committee. Knowing both of their voting histories, I would be happy to accept that argument for Peter King, but with the Democrats in the majority and their total hatred of Bush, no one can argue that Castle was just voting a strategy.
