Lookit....this Deck hand guy obviously has no kind of life.

Castle supporters often do not.

He’ll always get the last word.

Just a hint. I’m just as dumb arguing with him but Rush has been on this subject for this past hour.

Limbaugh don’t buy the argument either that Castle was really just helping the bill to its death.

Rush’s argument is that Castle was one of a group of “moderate” Republicans who approached Bush to tell him that soon he would be loosing their support for the war.

Next thing you know...TADA...Castle votes for this lead up to impeachment and we’re suppose to believe that Castle did it cause he’s a good guy wanting to help the Republicans kill the bill.

when Castle, heh, never helped the Republicans.

The Castle defenders think we should do like Deck Hand and add two plus two and get five.

As they pee upon our feet and tell us it’s raining.

Another "liberal RINO DU Troll" - Jim Gergahty at National Review Online - comes out as a voice of sanity...

No, Mike Castle Didn’t Vote to Impeach Bush

I wonder how many Delaware Republicans will vote today having been told that Mike Castle voted to impeach President George W. Bush.

I’ve heard that at least twice this morning. The usual suspects are circulating it, apparently caring not a whit that they have completely misstated what each side was voting for. Either they didn’t think to check, or they didn’t care.

From coverage of the vote at the time: ”All 166 votes in favor of opening up a House impeachment debate came from Republicans, apparently eager to bring up the vote immediately and paint Democrats as political creatures in a time of serious issues.”

House Republicans sought to bring the impeachment resolution to the floor to embarrass Democrats; Castle thought this was a waste of time. Castle voted to refer it to committee to kill it.

More: ”By a 251-166 vote, the House sent the 35-count articles of impeachment to the Judiciary Committee, which is expected to let it die without further action. While the vote technically forces the measure to the committee for consideration, it also means the full House will avoid having to debate and vote on impeaching the 43d president.”

Look, guys, Castle’s a really liberal Republican. He supports cap-and-trade. You would think his 52 career ACU rating ought to be enough to dissuade folks. But since this campaign, we’ve seen O’Donnell backers say Castle voted for Obamacare (he didn’t) the stimulus (he didn’t) and now, the impeachment of Bush (he didn’t).

Love O’Donnell or hate her, you can’t just make stuff up to hit the other guy.

Castle was making an anti-Bush symbolic vote.

The committee death spin is a complete lie on the part of castle.

I hope he loses BIG today and lives a long long time watching politics from the outside.

OFGS. Castle is not a perfect candidate by any stretch of the imagination, but at least nail him where he deserves to be nailed. He did NOT support impeachment of Bush.

Nail him on what he is really guilty of doing unless you want to be cast in the same slime you accuse him of being cast. When caught lying on one issue (or merely guilty of being misinformed or suffering parliamentary ignorance), it casts doubt upon everything one says.

Rush screwed the pooch on this one.
