(CNN) - Guess who's getting slimed now in the increasingly nasty Senate race in Delaware: Republican stalwarts Bill Kristol and Fred Barnes.
The charge: both men, editors of the conservative magazine the Weekly Standard, are trying to undermine Delaware Republican Senate candidate and tea party darling Christine O'Donnell, or so her campaign manager says.
"Call Bill Kristol and ask him why he's crossing swords with Governor Palin's endorsement. And Google Fred Barnes and see about him taking money from Republican leadership," a frustrated O'Donnell campaign manager Matt Moran told CNN.
O'Donnell just won the endorsement of Sarah Palin.
The Weekly Standard folks sound unfazed. In a reply to an e-mail from CNN, Bill Kristol offers this: "I know Sarah Palin. I respect Sarah Palin. And with all due respect- Christine O'Donnell is no Sarah Palin."
What's this all about?

That may be so, Billy and Freddy. But even more so is that she's "no Mike Castle", the worthless sack of RINO manure.
When are you idiots going to quit pimping for Arlen Specter clones?
and Castle is?
Bill Kristol, etc all are RINOs. They have opposed the Tea Party/Conservative movement from day 1. All you have to do is look at the (explative deleted) coming out of the Weekley Standard to see this.
Castle is no Olympia Snowe. He’s worse.
and Castle is?
A Washington Establishment...just like Sweet Billy Krystol
Of course she isn’t and we all know that Billy, but she is a solid conservative vote and Castle is a solid lib vote on the critical issues, plus, sticking it to the effete corp of impudent GOP snobs is icing on the cake.
Exactly. Christine O’Donnell is running against a RINO, and I want RINO’s gone. Pragmatism is what got the Gutless Old Party where it is today.
I’m convinced that in the case of Kristol and Krauthammer, that it is a simply a matter of O’Donnell’s background indicating that social conservatism is her driving force. Their flavor of conservatism is wary of social conservatism, and they wince when it moves to the front burner.
I quit reading the WS when they got a hard on for RINOS like Rudy and Mitt last time.
Freddy and Bill will be inconsolable tonight when Castle concedes to O’Donnell.
Well, this puts the lie to those who claimed you don’t like girl pols.
WGAS what Bill Kristol thinks about anything? He’s just another Ruling Class mouthpiece.
In a reply to an e-mail from CNN, Bill Kristol offers this: "I know Sarah Palin. I respect Sarah Palin. And with all due respect- Christine O'Donnell is no Sarah Palin."Kristol's boss Quayle got BF'd on national television back in 1988 with that line. Now Kristol tries that same crap on a fellow republican. He is a ________.
Kristol credits himself with bringing Palin to national attention.
Kristol and Barnes are the obverse to Olbermann and Matthews. If they all were cut down in the media forest would there be a sound?
Ruling class reporters simply protecting their TURF, knowing they won’t be invited to the “right” parties if conservative “little people” are elected.
And Bill Kristol is no Ronald Reagan.
Man, that will be must see TV. LOL
