FRANKFORT Former Alaska Governor and national conservative leader Sarah Palin will campaign for Republican Rand Paul's bid for the U.S. Senate Thursday in Louisville.
A news release from the Paul campaign said Palin will appear as a special guest at the Rand Paul Victory Kentucky lunchtime fund-raiser at Louisville's Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The news release did not provide any details about tickets, and calls and e-mails to the campaign were not returned.
Palin was already scheduled to be in Louisville Thursday to give the keynote speech at the National Quartet Convention in Freedom Hall.
Palin endorsed Paul in last May's Republican primary election and contributed $2,000 to his campaign. At the time, Palin said she was "proud to support great grass-roots candidates like Dr. Paul."
She said they differ on some issues, but "he and I are both in agreement that it's time to shake up the status quo in Washington and stand up for commonsense ideas."

"I'm endorsing Rand Paul because he's a true conservative who will stand up to the Washington establishment. Rand has been running on the issues that matter since the beginning of this campaign. He's a strong advocate for balanced budgets, he wants to end the culture of earmarks, he supports term limits, and he's 100% pro-life. Rand is exactly the kind of leader Americans are looking for right now. He's not a career politician and he's got the guts to stand up to the massive spending, bailouts, and debt that are being forced on us in Washington. ~~ Senator Jim DeMint, chairman of the Senate Conservatives Fund

I think that we can all appreciate the good work Sarah Palin is doing in helping to bring another "Dr. No" into the Congress. (This time, the Senate).
While you're campaigning for Rand, how about putting in a good word for Todd Lally against John Yarmuth in Kentucky 3?
You might suggest that idea on Sarah's facebook page -- or even suggest it to someone who's attending Sarah's events while she's in Kentucky, if you know anyone who is.
Sorry, should have pinged you to this. Thought you might be pleased.
Thanks.
Yeah, know, I wouldn’t mind at all seeing a Palin/Paul ticket.
But I sure want to see HOW he holds them to the fire in the Senate.
November will be epic. Thank God.
Amen, and I agree. Hopefully we’ll have a chance to start grading the younger Paul on his consistency, come November.
